Por muitos anos, a revolu\u00e7\u00e3o bolivariana foi uma fonte de inspira\u00e7\u00e3o para milh\u00f5es de trabalhadores, camponeses e jovens em toda a Am\u00e9rica Latina e al\u00e9m. Hugo Ch\u00e1vez foi uma figura revolucion\u00e1ria extraordin\u00e1ria que quis usar a riqueza petrol\u00edfera do pa\u00eds para melhorar as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de vida dos venezuelanos comuns, e chegou \u00e0 conclus\u00e3o de que isso s\u00f3 poderia ser alcan\u00e7ado caminhando para o socialismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ch\u00e1vez e seu movimento enfrentaram a ira da oligarquia capitalista e do imperialismo. Eles organizaram um golpe militar em abril de 2002, um lockout nacional de dois meses e sabotagem da ind\u00fastria petrol\u00edfera para esmagar a revolu\u00e7\u00e3o. Repetidas vezes, foram derrotados pela participa\u00e7\u00e3o direta das massas atrav\u00e9s de manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es populares, organiza\u00e7\u00e3o revolucion\u00e1ria, ocupa\u00e7\u00f5es de f\u00e1bricas e controle oper\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No entanto, a revolu\u00e7\u00e3o venezuelana nunca foi conclu\u00edda. Eventualmente, os ganhos foram desperdi\u00e7ados e tra\u00eddos sob a lideran\u00e7a de Nicolas Maduro.
