Leurs conclusions th\u00e9oriques constituaient plut\u00f4t une synth\u00e8se des id\u00e9es les plus avanc\u00e9es de leur \u00e9poque. Celles-ci comprenaient le noyau r\u00e9volutionnaire de la philosophie dialectique de Hegel, les visions audacieuses des socialistes fran\u00e7ais, ainsi que l'approche scientifique des \u00e9conomistes \u00ab classiques \u00bb \u2013 au premier rang desquels figuraient Adam Smith et David Ricardo, en Grande-Bretagne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le chef-d'\u0153uvre de Marx, <em>Le Capital<\/em>, \u00e9tait \u00e0 bien des \u00e9gards une r\u00e9ponse aux \u00e9conomistes bourgeois qui l'avaient pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9. Marx voulait en faire une critique de l'\u00ab \u00e9conomie politique \u00bb, terme qui d\u00e9signait la science \u00e9conomique de cette \u00e9poque. Bon nombre des id\u00e9es et postulats fondamentaux de cet ouvrage ont d'abord \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9s par Smith et Ricardo \u2013 notamment la th\u00e9orie de la valeur, que Marx a reprise et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e, pour en faire plus tard la base de son analyse du mode de production capitaliste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans cet expos\u00e9, Adam Booth \u2013 coauteur de <em>Comprendre le Capital de Marx<\/em> \u2013 explorera la gen\u00e8se de la pens\u00e9e \u00e9conomique de Marx, de m\u00eame que son \u00e9volution. Il analysera les id\u00e9es des \u00e9conomistes qui l'ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9, en soulignant leurs limites et leurs contradictions. Enfin, il exposera les fondements de la th\u00e9orie \u00e9conomique marxiste.
